"Wear out your bible" Sermon

A few years ago, our pastor challenged us to create some new patterns together as a church. We were all challenged to WEAR OUT A BIBLE as we created these new Rhythms with Jesus.

• Our lobby always has FREE Bibles
• We love to give away FREE highlighters
• And every few months, we have both paper and digital copies of a NEW Bible Reading Plan for everyone to do together (see below).

Acts 2 (Message) 41-42 That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.

• The people of God sacrificed normal life-patterns and comfort for some new patterns… now Life in Jesus changed their routines.

(Voice Translation) 42 The community continually committed themselves to learning what the apostles taught them, gathering for fellowship, breaking bread, and praying. 

• I love that this isn’t just a personal idea
• Rather the family of God together began to TRAIN Together
